You can choose the age of a Sim, their hairstyle, eye colour, etc giving each one their own personality. Like real people they grow up and get old, enjoy themselves, fall in love, find work, have adventures and misfortunes, succeed at work and study, interrelate, have conflicts between them, etc. In other words, everything that happens to normal people but all supervised by you as you watch over each of the Sim lives you´ve created.

The graphics are spectacular and are astonishingly real (which is one of the keys to its success), so much so that you can sometimes forget that they aren´t real.
